Observation details
*Rare and several weeks late. Surprised to see this bird with several WCSP near the SE corner of the lake in a small cottonwood. Rather large, hefty songbird. Dark wash on upper mandible of otherwise flesh-colored bill. Clean white eyebrow. Faint buffy wash on breast. Underwing coverts burnt orange rather than lemon-yellow. Relatively thick streaking on breast compared to pencil-thin streaking of Black-headed.
