Observation details
Hell yeah! Seen first on the wires of the Peregrine radio tower, then followed as it gracefully went on several flycatching forays our to every nearby tree and bush within a span of 30 min, even feeding on a berry bush to the west of the tower. Caught a couple of nice, fat, bugs, as well as a few smaller ones. Last seen from the road as we were leaving, back on its favorite radio tower wire. Big fat bill, bright yellow belly, notched tail, and green back. Bird was molting a few tail and top of the crown feathers, hinting at a possible stay. No vocalizations, but it looked better for Tropical anyway. Most expected kingbird at this time, with Western being generally uncommon and late.
