Observation details
Adult. Initially found by Bob Zadja fairly early in the morning. Lingered on Riverview Drive on the Gill side of the river for much of the day grazing with Canada Geese and two Snow Geese. Tiny white goose but with black wing tips, black 'beady' eye, pink bill lacking 'grin patch', and diagnostic blue-gray warts around the base of the bill. This particular bird had a longer bill than the many that I've seen in the South-west. Very obliging, allowing for many photos and for birders to catch up with it all day long. Identification ratified by MARC, this being the third accepted record for Franklin County.
