Observation details
Under-recorded as a migrant owing to identification challenges; we studied this bird closely and obtained numerous photos; a lanky Empid, unlike more compact species such as LEFL and YBFL; very long primary projection excludes all eastern species except ACFL. WIFL further ruled out by this bird's bold eyering, greenish dorsum, and small bill. We seriously considered ACFL but judged small bill and plumage details in conflict with that genuinely rare migrant.
