Observation details
Sparrow with bold striped head patterns sitting on fence near Eastern bluebirds eating an insect or spider. Streaked back. Crown dark with a pale stripe going down the center. White/buff above the eyes with a dark line through the eye and a thick white stripe below the the eye forming an arc. Brownish ear patch. White throat with a black malar stripe that looked triangular from certain angles. White in tail visible when flying. Only white tips visible while sitting on fence. Breast pale with dark splotch in the center.
