Observation details
This bird was feeding in low plants along a wet area near the parking lot atMarley WMA in Wilkes County. This is the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountais. The bird was silent and did not respond to various calls that we played. It never flew higher than 8 feet and was feeding from inside the branches of the low trees mostly. Two other birders suggested Least but bill looks large. I wondered about Alder but it really has a pronounced eye-ring which Alders should not have. I did not think primary projection long enough for Acadian. Added it to Flycatchers of NA Facebook page and one person suggested possible Alder because of bill but also said least like everyone else. I can change it to empid species or leave it as Least.
