Seen in grassy field containing the Solstice Circle monument, adjacent to barn and horse area near bird blind and trailhead to duck pond. Images. Initially seen about 1030 am, left at 11:05 am. Birds not there on return from duck pond trail at 1:20 pm. Also considered Upland Sandpiper initially, and Mountain Plover. Further study and discussion with experienced birders confirmed ID as Am. Golden Plover. Short bill, supercilium, speckled back pattern, and one one bird, scattered dark chest feathers, led to ID. All images Pentax K50, 300mm, f13, 1/400 sec.
