NOTES: (Species Sound: Frequent. General Climate: Humid, cyclic wet-dry. Cover Density: Thick. Noise Reduction System: Dolby. Bias: Metal.) Second bird quickly follows first. Responded with (apparently) a slightly different song. This is all in response to playback of 82-2A-08 (LNS 26526). Originally identified by the recordist as Myrmeciza hemimelaena. Subspecies information (M. h. hemimelaena) provided by Isler et al. as part of their study on species limits in the M. hemimelaena complex (see Isler et al. 2002). The "How Identified" and "Confidence in Identification" values pertain to the recordist's original identification without subspecies name. -Matt Medler, 16 December 2009.
