Observation details
These birds caused some significant discussion. A well respected local birder provided information that Westerns (presumably derbyi subspecies) are the more common of the two species (Little versus Western) at Gingin. Although the colouring of the lore still leaves room for some doubt, the consensus is that these birds are Western Corella. Hybrid was considered, but all birds have a similar appearance. I will make another trip to Gingin in an attempt to get better views of these birds.
