Observation details
Interesting experience. Initially found its sharp 'tseeet' calls which it gave repeatedly before eventually flying into a sumac stand. Unlike my other migrant Yellow-bellied Flycatchers this fall, this bird did not give the plaintive, pewee-like 'tur-wee' calls but always gave sharp 'tseeet' calls which I found very similar to some calls of Pacific-slope Flycatcher. Wind and traffic noise may have thwarted my attempts to get a sound recording but I may have something.
