Observation details

*Rare. Medium-sized sandpiper with striking pattern of dark brown and light brown marginal coverts fringed with white. Large black eyes that contrast sharply with buffy face. Bill about half the length of the head. First reported by Ted Gilliland yesterday and refound this morning by Scott Surner.
