Observation details
Sweet! Spotted when there were halfway out to vashon, but came much closer off the tip of dune before losing them around dalco. Small terns with short heads and bills, long bent wings, and very narrow black edge to primaries. Additionally, most appeared to be in winter plumage and lacked dark wedges on the primaries and carpal bars. Flight style looked very floppy but the high wind tends to make everything fly like that. After carefully reviewing the photos all birds appeared to be arctic. One bird that seemed to have dark on the upper surface of the primaries in one photo did not in others, and was structurally consistent with arctic
