Observation details
First eBird Androscoggin record. Seen swimming on the water picking bugs off of the surface for over an hour until it dissapeared (I didn't see if it flew or where). It looks to be a juvenile. Very small, with a black-ish back with golden streaks, and an eyespot. Photos attached. It let me get within 6 feet on a paddleboard, and take these pictures with my little camera! What a cool experience. In Maine, regular offshore but pretty rare inland. 44.1431845, -70.1104485
