Observation details
Big, beautiful sandpiper with oblong grapefruit body, thin neck, small head, and big "blank" eye. Characteristic pale face, streaked neck/breast, some barring on flanks, but otherwise bright white belly. Yellow bill w/ black tip. Seen looking south from 34.9955207, -106.6240143. Foraging at the south end of the recently-mown, SE-most soccer field with many MODO, meadowlarks, HOLA, and one LARB. Spotted at ~9:40am and seen for ~10 minutes before bird walked slowly towards goal posts and then flew a bit farther away. Wasn't able to relocate bird (but was also crunched for time), though its bubbly "kee-dee-dee" calls were audible from wherever it landed, so it presumably didn't go too far. Placeholder pics now, camera pics later.
