Observation details

0846 hrs. Along ridge, east end. Traced a “whit” call to its source; a palpably large brownish Empid with a brownish cast to facial area. Pale orbital ring quite narrow, diffuse in appearance and slightly disjointed. Bill quite large (thick and long) as far as Empid go (Traill’s/Acadian-class bill size). Tail was long and broad-based, when assessing body gestalt.
