Observation details
Male with rusty head and cream colored forehead stripe. It was about 50 yards away at first in good light, but the ducks saw me, and flew off. I had trouble photographing it because I was viewing it through the woods with a lot of sticks in the way. Managed one photo that is barely passable and was taken after the ducks flew off and returned to the middle of the lake much further out. They are very flighty here when viewing ducks from shore. This place would be a superb candidate for an observation blind.
