Observation details
Good bird found by Tim Lenz this morning. Very large shorebird buffy under and medium brown on back and wings. Long upturned bill with pink visible even at distance, in the moments when the heat shimmer lessened. Flushed several times by Peregrine but remained on location. Poor photo. BIrd was resting, preening, flushing. Photo shows head partially turned away with long bill pointed down to 7:30. Large size made apparent by proximity to RBGU.
