Observation details
Black-chested Snake Eagles (Circaetus pectoralis) are less common than Brown Snake Eagles, but are widely distributed from Ethiopia to South Africa, preferring savanna, woodland shrublands and grasslands. This immature Black-chested Snake Eagle was perching on a fallen thorn Acacia on the S39 Timbavati Road in Kruger National Park.
