Comments

Calls given by a bird while running away along the ground after being discovered. Evidently a pair of birds. Some wind. Habitat: Dry grass and rocky bare ground around a hill rising out the flats. ML: Chukar (Alectoris chukar) was split from Rock Partridge (A. graeca) after this recording was made. The North American birds refer to the former species. BNA: This appears to represent the "Rally Call" of BNA (if not the "chak-chak-chak" Steam-engine Call). CAM - 21 March 2005.
