Observation details
All the hallmarks of an adult Baird’s, likely a vanguard female. Black spotting on the back with scaliness on upper back being gray and no russet. Large eye with expressive distinct eye ring. No streaking on sides like a WRSA. Soft washed buff in upper chest and face with white chin and a quite dark spot on lores which accentuates eye-ring. Primary wing feathers projecting distinctly past tail when folded. Intermediate bill. Generally worked the dryer part of the shoreline like the LESA. Nearly twice the size of the small peeps with much larger bill. Photos.
