Observation details
**Rare, continuing. A very scruffy empid, greenish back, yellowish breast, with a large white teardrop-shaped eyering, white wingbars; feathers messy overall, head feathers spiky; bicolor bill. Foraging very actively in the sunlit branches typically 15-20 feet up, but occasionally descending to just above eye level, jumping from branch to branch, sometimes flying out briefly as if hawking very small insects. (This bird was later confirmed as a Pacific-Slope Flycatcher but I never got around to updating my checklists.)
