The adult & im. nuthatches are in an oak tree where a small tray with food is mounted, right in camp. They have been feeding a week or more and are not bothered by our presence. The adults come to the tree above the tree, walk down the tree trunk head first to the tray, calling. The young come answering. In the parent-young chatter I hear no distinction between adults and im. Number of individuals=AU1-2FU3-4;. Other Behaviors: Establish Parent Young Contact, Beg, Care For Young, Perform Visual Display. Habitat: Evergreen Forest, Deciduous Forest, Riparian.
