Observation details

Breeding adult identified via pictures by Todd Easterla and John Dunn. This bird was originally identified as a Red-necked stint by yours truely. Lucas Stephenson quietly disagreed and was proven correct through correspondence with Todd and John. Note black centered feathers on wing pannel below the scapulars surrounded by orange as apposed to grey centered in RNS. Note orange fringing to tertials also and especially wing coverts. Note white throat and longish finely tapered bill. Also split supercillium. This is a first county record.
