Observation details
Initially thought this might be a Sharp-shinned Hawk due to the relatively squared off tail, but on closer examination, thought that the head and beak looked heavier than I would expect for a Sharpie, barring on breast/belly finer, nape appeared to be lightish, and on the folded tail the dark end bands were staggered at different lengths at the end of each feather, with a narrow white edge at the tip of each tail feather. Believed that if the tail were to be fanned out, the varying feather lengths would result in a rounded tail, not one that is squared off. Therefore concluded this was more likely to be a Cooper's Hawk.
