Observation details

I had assumed Common Nighthawk without realizing Lesser was a possibility. Thanks for Tony Leukering for noticing and correcting the ID. See comments at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/rjm284/473856629/ Tony Leukering: "Why isn't this a female Lesser (pale primaries patch across from tip of tertials, buff spotting on bases of primaries, p10 shorter than p9)?" Steve Mlodinow: "I think the spotting on scaps and wing coverts likely fits LENI as well" Tony again: "From Peter Pyle: "I agree, it looks like the pale wing patch is too far out the wing (>15 mm from the primary covert tips) to be a Common. Looks like an adult female.""
