Observation details
In my list of 8th Aug 2017, have mentioned recording an unidentified call. I later sent this call to Sharad Apte sir. He said that it could be food begging call of juvenile Common Hawk Cuckoo fostered by Large Grey Babblers. So I went to check today and waited at same spot. A bit further away some crows were perched on a tree and were repeatedly diving down into the undergrowth and then flying back to perch on the tree. They did not seem to be attacking. A flock of Large Grey Babblers also kept flying to the same spot. As I drove towards the spot the crows flew away and babblers also took off--along with them a juvenile Common Hawk Cuckoo also flew out and perched on a low branch. The babblers kept fussing around it but did not feed it
