Observation details
With 2 SESA at western tip of sandbar. Probably same bird found here 6/12 by P Comins. Allowed close study in good light and close photos. Not in full breeding plumage but transitional. Compared to SESA: a bit more blocky headed, bill noticeably longer with a droop and broad at base, distinct Rusty red on head (face, crown) as well as upper part feathers (scapulars). Dense dark markings on breast, with some extending as chevrons along the flanks and belly.
