Media notes
Bird perched and called for a few minutes on a dead branch on the lake shore, then flew away. Gaps in the recording occurred due to removal of handling and walking noise, and represent periods of 8, 13 and 4 seconds respectively. Reduced the impact of low frequency rumble from wind through the use of a scientific filter, 250 Hz cutoff, order 2.
Observation details
First time I've seen this bird in this general Lac La Pêche area. Was calling loudly and perched on a dead branch around 200 feet away - saw it clearly through binoculars.
