Observation details

This is a typical dunnei, with its massive, convex bill, that sits on a rather large head of a large bird (body size difference between dunnei and acunhae [+ 'fraseri'] is striking, although not visible in this photo. This bird was trapped, ringed, and sampled for research on the speciation mechanisms within Nesospiza.
