Observation details
First observation at 0812. 1 counted on property. 1 individual(s) singing. First seen while making 'sip' calls in dead shrubs near a tangle of woody debris ca 100 m above the diversion. Drab Spizella with a tiny bill. At 0818, heard it singing farther to the north and located it in a small patch of Artemisia cana along one of the tiny draws along the alluvial fan north of the creek. Later, heard it again along the rocky draw (presumably the same bird, as it could have easily flown over here in the intervening time). Detections (number 15-minute intervals in which the species was detected): 4 on property.
