Observation details
*RARE* uncertain status in Belize Within a mixed flocked of Vaux's and Lesser Swallow-tailed Swift I observed one odd swift. This bird was all dark, lacking any coloration around the collar. The flight style was a lot different than both Vaux's and Lesser Swallow-tailed Swift, also based on prior knowledge it was also unlike White-collared Swifts. Apart from flight pattern what also stood out was the relative size, being mixed in with both Vaux's Swift and Lesser Swallow-tailed Swift I could gather that this bird was not massive in comparison to them, it was larger but not as large as I'd expect White-collared Swift to appear. The wings were very long, and tapered to very narrow and pointed primaries. Notched tail. Photographed
