Observation details

this farm used to have a irrigated rice fields, using narrow canals to take the water up to the fields. nowadays they no longer have rice on the wet fields, although the fields are still wet being used by several wet land birds. I drove all over this fields looking for giant Anteaters which i saw, the first PB was sunning on the cattle fence at the first light of the day, he got spooked by our car, but i noticed that he was not a simple tiger heron by the way he flew, i am used to see hundreds of them in the Pantanal. the second one made my day, he was standing in the middle of a wet field 300 hundred meters away, i went passed a cattle smooth fence in order to get a photo, cause we suspected that we could hace found a rare bird both of us had never been able to see it. we got half way close to it good enough to get a photo of it.
