Observation details
Saw a solitary Bridled Tern at this place. It was a windy day and tides were high. This bird was forcing its way into headwind, scanning the surface of Ganges, occasionally dunking to catch fish, and then using the northward wind to go back upstream. We were here for about 30 minutes, during which it was continuously doing this behaviour. It was flying and fishing very close to the eastern bank of the river, almost near the edge of the road. Appeared unmindful of human presence and activities.
