better spectrogram. First is a seventh bird from 12-1am hour on 25th. The other four are four of six in this checklist.
Observation details
(NFC 9) at 21:20, 21:22, 21:27, 21:39, 21:44, 21:56. All look like classic Bicknell's to me!! All but 1 have peak frequency well over 5 kHz, one just shy. Also note the distinctive shape with a sharp angle between upward and downward parts of he call. Strong (unprecedented) inland movement of shorebirds over Frederick this night suggests a westward shift in "coastal" species movements?
