Media notes
This one makes about three single Coo calls at 2, 6 and 10 seconds, spaced several seconds apart. It continued to vocalize for several minutes. Never saw the bird. Recorded at 10:20 am EDT
Observation details
Two or more. Calling the distinctive call (low-pitched gung-gung-gung) at 7:10, 0.45 mile from parking lot. The second one was calling at 10:20 from the northeast corner of the first impoundment, on the trail under the power lines. This is the same spot where three in our party saw the Glossy Ibis come in and land (I did not see it), and this is where a couple saw the Common Gallinule a few days ago.
