From my field notebook: "Buff supercilium, dark streaked rufous crown. Dark brown eyestripe. Short conical brown bill. Rest of face and upper breast neat orangy buff. Bright pale buff brown back, mantle spotted with brown (dark centres to feathers. Wing covs, tertials all dark brown with very broad buff edges giving predominantly pale appearance. Tail similar with white outer tail feathers. Rest of unders clean white. No streaks on breast. Slightly crested at back of crown. Legs flesh. Frequenting arable field with sparse veg. Low horizontal stance. Creeping along ground with low walking gait. Viewed down to 15m using 25x60 Mirador scope for 20 min in dull light, W force 6 making viewing difficult. Obviously smaller thank Sky Lark and House Sparrow but neither bird present for comparison.
