Observation details
Originally caught my ear singing from mid levels of a large tree. Similar to REVI but with notably long pauses between phrases, 2-3 seconds between phrases. Appearance very similar to warbling vireo. Overall small, drab gray bird with short bill. Crown darker gray, contrasting with back. Black eyestripe with white superciliary and dark eye. The bird was too fast to digiscope, so I left to grab my camera, but the bird had apparently left before I got back. I do have a snippet of song recording. The bird was in trees growing over the road by 118 S Fields Cir. No idea how the folks in nearby houses would feel about lots of visitors, but I also have no idea where the bird is now.
