Observation details
Norton farm is private and open areas of farm should be observed only from the New England forestry foundation property.Pigeon headed bird with large eyes and long neck. Absolutely distinctive shape. Made a winowed flush call sound as it leapt up from a wet area in a field and then settled down for a couple of photographs from a distance which I posted herein. It subsequently made its full winnowed ghostly song from the swampy area to the north. No longer out in open.
