NOTES: NEAR CANAL. [This is the "toad-like" trilling typical of this species (the trills are all clipped off, either at the beginning or the end). Quality changed from 3 to 3-2 (much hiss and some other birds but nighthawk is still clearly recognizeable) - CAM - 9 November 2005]. Habitat: Desert.
