NOTES: RECORDING MADE AT SEVERAL TIMES. SEQ.III: 11JUN61; 55 SEC. SEQ.IV: 14MAY61; 125 SEC. BNA: The first part of this recording is the "dovelike cooing" noted in BNA, but the spectrogram on Page 4 of that account appears to have the frequency axis incorrect. What should have been 1 kHz is labeled as 10 kHZ. The second part contains a somewhat different vocalization, probably either the "quoh" or "gra-a-a" defensive call mentioned in BNA account (1:08, 1:15, 1:22, 1:26, 1:31, 1:36, 1:41, but it could also be an odd variant of the cooing [??] (CAM - 21 November 2004). Habitat: Wetland, Freshwater.
