Observation details
Rare, irregular visitor here. Found earlier today by Rick Robinson. Large juv white swan seen in direct comparison with an adult Mute Swan and approximately the same size. Overall plumage was grayish white, head slightly peaked, bill large and straight from forehead to tip, black with some areas of pinkish red on dorsal surface and gape. Eye appears to be within the facial black skin being less isolated than on a Tundra Swan. Combination of size, large straight, sloping bill and eye placement seems to rule out a juv. Tundra Swan.
