Media notes
Calls by a bird that I saw relatively well about 18 meters away and 15-18 meters up as it foraged from several different trunks in good, terra firme forest along the road just beyond the swamp. I saw this bird sally out and capture something that was later hammered against the trunk, something that I do not regularly see this species do. This bird may have been associated with a mixed-species flock. 3.5 kilometers beyond the bridge over the Río Grande. [8° 06’ 43.0” N, 61° 39‘ 50.0” W, 283 meters]. Partly cloudy, calm, 84° F. Equipment Notes: Sennheiser powered using phantom power and with filter in flat position and attenuator off for all recordings. Nagra input set at 2 mV / Pa and low-pass filter in flat position unless noted otherwise.
