A single, decapitated song by a bird that I saw at a distance of 15-16 meters and a height of 12-14 meters as it sang from a trunk over a swarm of Eciton burchelli in the mid-levels of good, terra firme forest in the forestry study plots along the main trail between the 50-meter and 100-meter trails. The bird was about 1 meter up and 12 meters away when I recorded the second song in this cut (also decapitated). This was one of two of these birds seen attending this ant-swarm. Partly cloudy, intermittently breezy, 82° F. Equipment Notes: Sennheiser powered using phantom power and with filter in flat position and attenuator off for all recordings. Nagra input set at 2 mV / Pa and low-pass filter in flat position unless noted otherwise.
