Media notes
Songs from male and female. Male sings three times, then female sings twice, then male again. A single "who" is heard at 39 sec. I assumed deeper-pitched calls are male and higher-pitched calls are female. Recording of the bird photographed in ML221981331, ML221981351, ML221981381. A second bird, higher pitched, is heard is the recording and was sighted but flew farther away. The bird was photographed 8-9 minutes before this recording was made. I had left the vicinity of the birds into the open area of Field 3. I had not been there long when the owls called. I was only about 150 linear m from where I saw the photographed bird.
