Observation details
Never before reported (I think) on the Orilla Verde CBC. See photo for field marks. Slightly smaller than mallard, silvery sides with white rear flank (sometimes called "rump") patch with B&W primaries folded. Long thin appearing neck with white portion wound into a spiral around the cheek. Brown head and neck, where neck is not white.
