Observation details
A bird seen swining at a very short distance. Identified by size and head and plumage patterns. Small bill with black tip. Rounded head. Grey mantle and scapulars. Short pale legs. Brownish covers with weakly contrasting edges. Dark tertials with broad palid edges. Differentiated from the first year ring-billed gull because ring-billed gull has: bigger bill, clear mantel and spaculars, dark covers with fine palid edges; clear great covers; and dark tertials with fine palid adges.
