Observation details
found by TCL. Associating with Bonaparte's Gull group. Immature bird with large patches of white on the back of wing, contrasting with the wing pattern of close Bonaparte's Gulls. Brown back and black outer primaries very visible when banking. Actively flying and diving to feed for a bit of time before landing for a minute or so and then moving on. Moving both east and west, but staying at the same distance. Watched from the overlook above the marina. Eventually it flew away to the east.
