ML: Subject changed from recordist's original identification of Petroica multicolor pusilla to Petroica multicolor to conform to eBird Taxonomy (v. 1.55). -Jay McGowan/Matt Medler, July 2015. Recorded song is one of a variety of loud emphatic songs given by this species on Samoa unlike songs I heard from Scarlet Robins on Taveuni, Fiji. Scarlet Robins were very common in hill forest, along road edges and in abandoned clearings where they keep to undergrowth, stumps, fences etc. most of the time. Habitat: Tropical Forest, Rainforest, Roadside.
