Media notes

'Chimborazo' Hillstar male. More images from Ecuador and Peru at www.pbase.com/ahlman This image was taken 100 meters from a perfect jamesoni (which is also uploaded here). The two (sub)species are apparently sympatric here. What refers to soderstromi is apparently hybrids/intergrades between chimborazo and jamesoni. It is obvious that a small vulcano like Quilotoa at the lower altitude range, can't hold an endemic taxon, specially since both other taxa occur here too. It should be deleted. Elevation: 3842 m. Date added to IBC: May 20, 2017.
