Suspected alder flycatcher calls from Spanish River Park in Boca Raton, Palm Beach Co. FL. 9/16/2015, 9:47am
Observation details
Small flycatcher, pale below (no "vest"), brown above with buffy wingbars. Bill yellow below, eye ring not apparent, head small compared to a wood-pewee. Flicked wings and tail repeatedly. Sat in mid-story of dense shrubs and would call repeatedly at times (not constantly). Found on west side of trail that runs behind shelter 9 on north end of park. It then made its way east over the trail and soon relocated it on the SW corner of the road when it opens into the northern-most parking lot. Last seen flycatching on an open dead tree in the open on that corner. Recording made with phone and then converted to MP3, so not great quality. Also a NOCA and plenty of frogs.
